A number of pharmacists working for us have undertaken enhanced training to enable us to provide a walk-in clinic for Common Clinical Conditions.
These pharmacists now have the clinical skills to better assess and diagnose common conditions of the Skin, Ear, Nose, Throat and Chest.
This allows patients to walk in for a consultation with the pharmacist, who can effectively assess your symptoms before providing advice, prescription from a wider range of medicines (not normally available over-the-counter), or onward referral depending on the outcome.
The type of conditions treated includes:
- Ear discomfort and infections
- Sinusitis
- Tonsillitis
- Cellulitis (Skin infections)
- Shingles
- Impetigo
- Urinary Tract Infections
- Infective Eczema
- Asthma/COPD exacerbation
- Pain
This allows our patients easy access to advice and treatment for many conditions that wouldn’t have previously been treatable through your community pharmacy.
