About Us

There has been a pharmacy at our Gray Street location since the turn of the 19th century, and in April 1974, we became known as R.S. McPherson Pharmacy. Over the years, the pharmacy has seen many transformations in shape, layout, and style, continually evolving to meet the needs of our busy community.

The most recent chapter in our story began in June 2018, when the business was acquired by Davidsons Chemists — a respected local company established in 1897, built on principles of knowledge, professionalism, and genuine care. These values continue to drive our commitment to providing the highest levels of customer service and patient care across all our branches.

We have proudly continued under the McPherson Pharmacy name, as it remains an iconic part of Broughty Ferry, renowned not only for our outstanding pharmaceutical care but also for our exceptional selection of luxury gifts, skincare, and fragrance ranges. Our name is a symbol of quality and trust, and we are proud to uphold that reputation.

As a community pharmacy, we are at the heart of local healthcare, striving to be your first port of call. We are dedicated to making every visit to our pharmacy a positive experience. To ensure you always receive the attention you deserve, we maintain a policy of having more than one pharmacist on duty whenever possible. Your health and wellbeing are our priority, and our team is here to support you with efficiency, compassion, and personalised care.
